Maurice has been a resident of the Inspiration neighborhood since 2013. He is temporarily serving on the Metro District Board as the Secretary until a permanent replacement is selected in the normal election cycle slated for May of 2022. 

Background

Maurice grew up a military brat living in Germany and Italy for 10 years and graduated high school in Colorado Springs where his father eventually retired. Maurice’s professional background is primarily in Information Technology and Telecommunications. He also spent many years leading marketing, communications, business development, and organizational development teams. In his business development roles, he was responsible for managing a $26.3B IT portfolio. He developed methodologies to increase year-over-year business volume, improve pipeline management, and refine customer engagement tactics. He is currently a Deputy Director responsible for several Agile software development teams. 

Education & Training

A life learner, Maurice is formally trained in mediation and facilitation and holds a FAC-P/PM (PMP equivalent) Level-3 Certification. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems Management, a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership, a professional certificate in Executive Management, and a Music and Video Business degree from the Colorado Institute of Art. 

For Fun

Maurice produces podcasts and creates music for television shows and commercials. Occasionally, he does sound design for small non-profit theater companies in Denver. He enjoys going on motorcycle trips, golf, snowboarding, and spending quality time with good friends.
