Pool Staffing A pool monitor is on duty during open swim on weekdays Mon-Fri. A lifeguard is on duty during open swim on weekends Sat-Sun.
Inclement Weather Policy For your health and safety, lifeguards have discretion to close the pool during inclement weather including lightning and thunder, thunder only, extreme winds, rain, threatening clouds, tornado warnings, and/or the temperature drops below 65 degrees F (a health department recommendation). The on duty lifeguards’ decisions will be final. Lifeguards and pool monitors follow the guidance from the National Lightning Safety Institute, also recommended by the Red Cross, which is to close the pool for 30 minutes after lightning is spotted or thunder is heard. Swimmers may safely return to the water 30 minutes after the last observance of lightning or thunder.
Guest Passes Grandchildren and family members may come as guests, please check in at the front and sign in all family members. Each household is allotted a total of 20 guest ‘passes’ for the 2022 pool season. There are no paper guest passes or punch cards, the office tracks guest pass usage from the sign-in sheets.
